I hav GTA Vice City version, running successfully on Windows 98 but not on XP. I also changed the Compatabilty Mode to Win 98 but Not Working. I cannot continue with Windows 98 due to some Professional Needs..So I want to run this Game On XPI read the Complete Trouble Shooting Thread but didnt get the solution except change ur Compatibilty

Posted September 5, 2011. Make sure you have a folder called "GTA Vice City user files", without that, the game has no place to store save files. If you don't have that, download a diffrent version of the game. Some copies may be missing certin files if they were illegaly downloaded.

Windows Vista = C:\Users\"Your account"\Documents\GTA Vice City User Files. Windows 98/Me = C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\GTA Vice City User Files I've also checked the rockstar\vc\data\ location, which I've read sometimes occurs on Vista, but to no avail. The only semblance of the User Files folder I've so far found is the gta_vc.set file

RenoTheFox Feb 24, 2013 @ 10:44am. I found a solution to this problem if anyone else has it. Turn the frame limiter in the display options to on. I don't know why, but it worked for me after I heard about it in some official GTA Vice City known glitch forum. Hope this is able to help people.
