Hi guys, I've just changed my filter and now my car wont start, I'm thinking its probaby got air trapped somewher in there, and the filter line are not getting any fuel to them, tdci 1.6 sport please help as I'm so desperate to be on the road.
Hi guys, As in the title, I have a 2010 1.6 TDCI Focus Zetec. I am aware of the turbo failure issues on TDCI engines (not 100% sure if the issue is present in the ‘facelift’ MK 2.5 model - conflicting information online) and I’ve read that regular oil changes can help.

Hi there , here you go , remove the link pipe from the turbo to air box 2x 7 mm clips, remove air filter cover screws 3 x 8 mm screws, remove air filter, remove the lower air filter box, there is a strap at the front holdings in place , give it a pull and remove it , just move it to the side

Posted January 14, 2019. I was looking to purchase a 2012 focus 1.6 diesel with 25k miles on the clock. On examining the engine bay, I noticed some oil around the concertina intake between the air filter and the turbo. On removing the intake pipe, there was about 15ml of oil in the pipe. I assume that the oil came from the rocker cover breather.

To access the filter, first remove the air tube by releasing the two clamps that keep it fixed. Once the tube has been removed, it is easier to access the filter cover which we must first unhook from its seat. Now we can take out the filter and replace it with the new one.
